Is an attractive tree up to 15m with glossy green leaves and white flowers. It grows in sub-tropical to tropical rainforest areas of Queensland. The leaf holds strong citrus aromas and once dried and milled can be used in savory and sweet dishes. Some examples include salad dressings, rubs for fish and chicken, cakes, biscuits. The leaf is also processed in a tea grade, which can be used in conjunction with other spices (eg. strawberry gum) or added as an extra flavour to traditional tea.
